Don’t worry it is still strong enough to hold the broom. You will find that there is a slight flex in the irrigation pipe where the two broom handles join. ** You will need a broom handle that is fat enough that it just fits snuggly into the irrigation pipe * My local hardware store sells this irrigation pipe by the meter so that you don’t have to buy a whole roll of it. Now slot your actual broom into the open end of the irrigation pipe. That will leave about 15 cm (6 inches) of pipe sticking out. Push it onto your spare broom handle so that it covers about 20 cm (8 inches).

It could be free if you already have an old broom handle and some irrigation pipe lying around! It is so quick to put together this handy broom handle extension and it costs just a few dollars.

So I thought I’d show you the extension broom handle that I use. Even though it’s a very easy process I haven’t seen anyone else sharing this idea online. This DIY was something that my father and grandfather used for years. But I learnt years ago that it is possible to make an extension handle for any broom with a very quick and easy DIY. Some people would tell you to go out and buy a special broom with an extendable handle. They must know that is virtually impossible to reach them using a standard broom! That is where an extendable broom comes in handy. I think the spiders know that they are hard to reach in the highest spot. The ceiling itself looks quite nice with its exposed beams but it is a bit of a pain to clean. This is particularly true with our dining room that has very high sloping ceilings. In the picture it looks like the risers are blocking the view of the cluster, but when sitting on the bike they don't at all.No matter how hard we try there is always the odd spider that will try to take up residence in the upper corner of a room. The ergonomics of the handlebars are the same. The handlebars are now 2" higher, and setback is 2 1/4". The bar ends do not touch the tank, or the windscreen. The result is, for me, way way better, and it sill looks almost stock especially if the bars were black, which I plan to change. Good time to change the old fluid anyway.Īdjust the hydraulic reservoirs so as not to touch the windscreen. somewhere around 13" + each, hence the 36" broomstick.īolt on the broomsticks and reinstall the handlebar accessories. Measure and cut to length the broomstick handlebars for both sides. I tried mounting one on the inside of the hydraulic reservoirs but the won't work that way because of he reservoir shape. I used 2 RSI risers on each side for added safety and strength. Measure and cut the used busa bars to accommodate the two RSI risers on the end, and grind a slot for the one of the two locking bolts in the triple clamp. I had one on my turbo xx and loved it to.

I',m 64 and can't do the leaned over thing anymore. For those wishing to raise their handlebars, here is another option i came up with.
